Therapeutic Approach
The therapeutic relationship provides ample opportunity to mindfully explore the self. Together, therapist and client delve into daily life issues and earlier life experiences to increase awareness of patterns and deeper needs. As people become more aware of why we function in the world as we do and what our deeper desire/needs are, we experience more mental clarity. We can begin to create space for more choice, relational intimacy, and contentment in life.
The therapeutic relationship creates a present-moment workshop to try out new ways of being. When we begin to recognize and hold our most difficult parts with compassion, we gain self acceptance. When we experientially study limiting beliefs and patterns and experiment with new behaviors, we begin to shift toward and wire in more authentic and empowered expression in the world.
My approach is informed by experiential, body-centered, mindfulness, existential, eco-therapeutic, attachment, polyvagal, IFS, and expressive arts therapies as well as non-violent communication and conflict resolution. I bring a welcoming trauma-informed approach, an empathic capacity, an open and nuanced spirit of curiosity to this work.

Coaching
Coaching focuses on identifying and reaching life goals and changing behaviors that aren’t working well for you. Coaching is not intended as a treatment or cure for any diagnosis.
For mental health diagnosis and treatment, you should see a Physician or Licensed Mental Health Professional in your state. I am able to provide those services in WA state only.
