What does mindful experiential somatic/body-based therapy look like in session?
It can feel very different than other therapies. We may begin a session with mindfulness and regularly check back in with your present-moment experience or the majority of the session can be explored this way. Mindfulness can be done with eyes closed or open. I will sometimes ask you to get out of your seat and move around the room in order to explore what comes up for you and to try out new ways of being.
What does Ecotherapy look like in session?
Experiments and guided imagery are likely to involve natural themes. If we engage in homework assignments, they may involve going into natural environments.
Where do you practice?
My private practice is currently online only. Please see my distance counseling page. Walk and talk sessions in natural environments are sometimes available upon request.
